Well, the summer is over and I have returned home. Here is happened during since last time.
I had a adult group come up and we did some service work at the camp for 2 days and then we headed out and got one of my favorite campsites on Seagull Lake and stayed there for a few nights doing day trips during the day. It was a relaxing few days on trail after a big push trip and busy weeks the weeks before.
My last canoe trip of the summer was a group of all girls. It was my first all female trip, and it was great. None of them had been up to the camp before and had never really done anything like a canoe trip. We did my first ever Ester Hanson loop, and it was the perfect trip to introduce them all the the BWCA.
My last group of the summer was a co-guided hiking trip on the Superior Hiking Trail. We started at White Sky Rock by Caribu River and hiked south for about 50 miles to Caribu Trail. It was great. We peaked some "mountains" and saw some really awesome vistas of Lake Superior.
