Recently I have stopped to think about how lucky we are to have so many people willing to host us as we travel throughout the United States. It is so insane to think that people will open their homes to us, complete strangers, and then give us everything we could ever need and more! We are fed so thoroughly, people give up their beds so we can have a mattress to sleep on, bed times are missed so that we can clean up after a program, everyone I have stayed with has gone out of their way to serve us.
We recently got to stay as an entire team at someone's house- that is six mouths to feed, and we can eat a lot. The family was SOO excited to have us and welcomed us with open arms- literally! One of the kids in a host family was excited all day waiting for her sleepover with "the band." She was so excited when we finally got to her house that she couldn't even come close to falling asleep at bedtime.
It has been great! It is amazing how generous people have been for a group of strangers. Our need's list is getting shorter and shorter every booking with everyone so excited and willing to help us.
